My First Sponsor- Yamhill Valley Vineyards!
i have some pretty exciting news to share (and if you think i am going to say i’m pregnant guess again because i am OCD with ensuring my birth control is working to the fullest extent)…
YAMHILL VALLEY VINEYARDS IS THE OFFICIAL WINE SPONSOR OF ‘the new wifestyle!!!!’
why YOU should be excited about this too:
Linda, their fabulous tasting room manager, has also hooked up my readers! if you email her at linda@yamhill.com and name drop ‘the new wifestyle’ she will give you a whopping 20% OFF your order! this applies if you stop by their winery too located at:
Yamhill Valley Vineyards
16250 SW Oldsville Road
McMinnville, OR 97123
503-843-3100
their hours are Thursday-Monday from 11am-4pm
i am beyond thrilled and grateful for their support because it’s delicious wine! they specialize in Oregon Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc and Riesling because those are the grapes that do the best in our rainy climate. what is even cooler about them is that they grow, produce and bottle all of their own grapes/wine on the 150 acre estate!
if you live in portland you MUST go visit them out and then invite me and we will make a day of it!
yesterday, we got an alert that a package was at our leasing office and it was an epic. and if you were wondering…that’s what my hair looks like after i’ve been trapped in the wind and no those aren’t highlights-that’s my tinsel (aka gray hair).
i am already contemplating what i’m going to have for dinner that will pair nicely with this wine. that’s actually a trick statement because this wine is so amazing that it pairs with everything (including mac-n-cheese and BBQ) mmmm.
be sure to “like” Yamhill Valley Vineyard’s Facebook Page as well as follow them on Twitter! and while you’re at it, if you haven’t ‘liked’ the new wifestyle on there, give it a click because i’m close to 400! thanks friends.
happy friday-eve! hope your day is going splendid and you are feeling great!
the new wifestyle: share your vision with others, you never know what may transpire!
questions:
1) what is your favorite type of wine?
2) what are you having for dinner?
3) do you have gray hair?

1) Im very very partial to an Australian shiraz, if I’m drinking it with dinner. Though after dinner im quite happy with a Tokaji or a Pedro Ximenez sherry wine afterwards. 🙂
2) No idea 🙂
3) Nopes

Congratulations on a Sponsor! I live in Napa so there’s not much wine I don’t like, personally good bubbly is my favorite though. I am hoping to plan a Oregon Pinot Noir trip soon though.
I started sprouting grays at 15… now I’m kind of attached to them. haha

thank you Katie! that’s fantastic that you are planning an Oregon Pinot Noir trip-that sure sounds like fun! Definitely add Yamhill Valley Vineyards to your list-great tasting room, beautiful setting and of course quality wine! that is SO fun that you live in Napa and get access to all those different wines-yum!
glad i’m not alone in feeling attached to those grays-although you beat me with your gray hair age-i was at least 19! 🙂

well thanks Dmite! it took me awhile to come around to this whole ‘change my mindset change my life’ but it’s been a good change!

Congrats on your first sponsor! Increases my temptation to consider taking a trip down to Portland just to experience their wine. Maybe when the roads are dry and I can wear t-shirts again haha…
1) Er…red? That is as far as my wine knowledge goes. I did have a glass of a lovely red wine from the Okanagan Valley at a Christmas party a few years back. Alas I never made the move to copy down the name/year. I should have.
2) I’m not the chef (otherwise we’d starve) but dinner is always a tasty surprise when I get home.
3) No, but I do find once in awhile I have a half strand of white hair. Really not sure how that happens.

thank you Vivien!! you should absolutely take a trip down here (it’s really quite close and the ferry ride is fun) so experience our quirky city! good plan on waiting a bit though because the snow is still coming down (it’s crazy and so rare!) red wine in general is a good choice, i am slowly learning the difference between them!
hah that’s funny about the ‘half strand’ of white hair-i totally get those too. so random and bizarre how that happens but glad i’m not alone!
