Spring Life Update!

By  |  9 Comments

we had a fantastic time in australia and new zeland but we both really missed atlas. i’ll be sharing more of what we did while we were there and some more photos in the following weeks. it’s outrageously gorgeous there but today, i decided share some life updates

marriage:

i know not everyone has the lifestyle/business/opportunity to travel alone with their spouse but damn does it do wonders for your relationship. spending uninterrupted time together while exploring australia and new zealand (and yes, actually working too) was exactly what we needed. it was a rough few months this year when ravery was traveling for multiple weeks at a time.

we’ve talked about that type of schedule won’t be happening again. i’m grateful for a partner who works super hard but still prioritizes his family first. it was hard on everyone.

i’m glad i decided to marry someone who challenges me to expand my capabilities and continue to grow. i often get in my own way. ravery balances holding my hand through new experiences while also giving me a swift kick in the pants to step it up.

motherhood:

oh my gooooodness, somehow atlas is almost 21 months?! i used to find it super annoying when people would say how old their child is based on months but i get it now. it’s an attempt to honor how drastically different each month is from the last. it’s an attempt to slow down time.

this age is so much fun (and 100x more fun than months 1-5 #oof)! she is talking up a storm, knows her colors (purple is by far her favorite, followed by pink, blue, green, red, yellow, orange). she is now randomly calling out ‘hey mom! hey dad!’ instead of our ‘mama and dada’ it’s adorable.

she’s the girliest girl (i think the genes from both of our very girly sisters passed through straight to her). she completely owns her inner-diva.

atlas constantly wants to be outside, either blowing bubbles, drawing with chalk or going to the park to swing! she loves eating outside and we try to eat every meal we can outside because we super love it too. her hugs and kisses are free flowing and i realize that won’t always be the case, so i’m taking advantage of her low inhibitions.

the temper-tantrums are intense and frustrating but i will deal with those allllll day compared to how hard those first few months were for me.

it’s incredible how smart, clever and observant she is. i love her more than i thought i could!

#MarriageMoon:

launch day is june 20th and i am so freakin’ excited! i’ve been teasing about it for a while so here’s a sneak peek:

i created this specifically for couples who love to travel and make their marriage a top priority!

i’ve done a limited first run so make sure you’re on my email list because you’ll be the first to know! plus, once you’re on the list, you get access to a free weekly connecting question to bring you and your partner closer)!

it’s been an exciting, hard, long and involved process but totally worth it!

ravery and i speak in canada together next week! then we head to the U.K. with atlas for what i must remind myself is work not vacation because holy smokes, it’s an insane schedule. out of the 13 days we are gone, we are traveling for 11 of them either by plane, train or car! good vibes appreciated!

with that, fill me in on YOU. what’s been going on? exciting or fun things happening for you?

Congratulations on your book launch, Chelsea! It’s exciting to see that come to fruition for you! Also, where are you speaking in Canada? I know it’s a huge country, but I’m curious if you plan to be in our neck of the woods (out west)…

So many exciting things! I’m so glad you two got to spend some time together, especially after a lot of time apart this year. It’s so needed!

I loved that you two traveled together. Definitely well deserved after all of the time you’ve spent apart this year.

21 months is SO fun!!! And it’s true, until your kid hits about 2 and a half, every month is so different. Bensen is still growing and changing now that he’s three, but it isn’t quite as drastically different. I look back at pictures and videos from just three weeks ago and Emmy is so different and so much bigger! Along those same lines, I see tiny babies everywhere and think how small she used to be… why do they have to grow?!

And I’m so excited about the MarriageMoon! I can’t wait to share with everyone how awesome it is because I know it will be awesome!

I’m so excited for you and #MarriageMoon!!! It is gorgeous and I can’t wait to try it out!! 😀
I love the Atlas updates. Dang, she is so freaking cute! And I love the girly, purple-and-pink, diva attitude. So different from mama but so cute! (I have a feeling if I ever have a girl she’ll be the same way- totally opposite from me!)
I love traveling with my spouse 🙂 Even for work. It’s nice to treat breakfast like a little date between the two of you (in a new city!) and then hustle all day long. And I love watching K work, too. It’s fun to watch your spouse excel! So happy for Mr. WS to have that opportunity to support you with Marriage Moon!

Wonderful Spring Life update. You are one fortunate pair to be able to work together.

Your update got me thinking about how time together changes over the life of a marriage. We now spend more time together just hanging out closer to home. We also spend time apart–I am the traveler now–and those breaks actually keep us tuned into one another.
