Questions to Ask on Your Babymoon!

By  |  12 Comments

as promised, i am sharing questions to ask on your babymoon! this evolved naturally between my husband and me on our babymoon and we both felt it brought us closer together. i think the questions do a good job of keeping most of the conversation positive and fun but does address fears, changes you’d like to see in raising a small human and talking about how to keep your marriage a priority after a tiny human demands most of your attention.

Questions to Ask on your babymoon

my husband and i wanted our babymoon to consist of relaxing, adventuring (mainly for him) but also a way for us to feel closer and connected. the first part of our babymoon covered the relaxation and adventure but we didn’t necessarily feel like we were connecting that much over our growing baby.

these questions helped to guide our conversation and afterwards we both felt completely in sync and more connected around becoming parents together. there was a happiness and lightness that wasn’t as strong before we did these so i am especially excited to share them with you in hopes they do the same.

i have made a printable list for you HERE in a pdf format so you can print it out and take it to the beach/mountains/country/wherever your heart desires!

we closed our conversation by saying we can plan and predict all day but ultimately, our child will grow and evolve in ways we have no idea until it happens! these questions are more about connecting the two of you and getting excited about what’s to come.

the above list is different than questions you should be talking about before deciding to have a kid so perhaps i’ll work on those ones next.

what other questions would you add to this list to chat about during a babymoon?

feel free to pin the questions to ask on your babymoon for later if you aren’t pregnant now or send to a friend!

i am trying not to read too much into the ‘near future’ comment but just now my first reaction was “EEEEE YAY”

Haha don’t worry, it’s NOT that near future but once we’re settled after moving we won’t be actively trying but not preventing it either to just see what happens since we have a lot going on right now.

Love this. I definitely pinned it! (Although it was on a private board because I don’t need family asking the dreaded questions. Haha! I’ll pin it publicly when we ARE pregnant some day! Ha!)

Can’t wait for that pre-baby list of questions!

Audrey, I totally did the same thing – I don’t need any family members wondering the status of my womb.

haha you two are cracking me up! i would have done the same thing – yay for private boards and non-prying eyes (as if 99% of married women don’t get enough pressure about the status of our wombs)
