Married Life Chats Volume XIII
it’s been a huge weekend full of a baby shower and an ironman so obviously i need a nap. while i prepare those posts – enjoy some of the recent married life chats we have been having over the past few months!
me: are you really just training for an ironman because of the attire you get to wear?
him: you mean because it’s socially acceptable to wear a skin tight body suit? of course. *strikes a pose
him: i’m really excited to take the breastfeeding class with you!
me: oh yeah, why?
him: i want to see how it all works. does everyone just whip out a boobie and practice?
me: *palm to face.
him: is it okay to spend some money on a surprise for you?
me: that’s really sweet but we should be saving our money for baby things and essentials…like ice cream makers.
me: i almost stopped at dairy queen, who knows maybe i’m lactose tolerant right now!
him: why didn’t you stop?
me: i wasn’t craving it so bad i could cry.
him: that’s your new standard?
me: yes, it has to be otherwise i would eat every. single. thing.
him: whoa, how did you get to be 8 months pregnant?!
me: well, about 8 months ago…you were there…
while looking at my expanding belly
him: you don’t even look that big
me: *lifts shirt
him: whoa nevermind. black shirts are confusing.
talking about bavery’s new carseat
him: it doesn’t look very comfortable
me: it’s not about comfort. it’s about safety.
him: well #firstmomquote
me: i’m craving a whole box of mac and cheese
him: well that’s a specific amount
me: we need to eat soon
him: *laughing
me: yes, i know there is food currently in my mouth…
your turn! share some of the chats you have been having recently!

Haha I laughed out loud for all of these. Pregnancy has given you lots of funny conversations but I think the last one is my favourite because it’s something I say ALL the time, and I’m most definitely not pregnant.

“Black shirts are confusing.” Haha, the trick to all girls’ “fat days” problems. Hahaha!
I love that you were thinking about your next meal while nomming on food! And you totally dropped a mom quote with that comfort vs. safety! Haha!!

haha that one totally made me laugh – it’s super true though black shirts are super confusing and disorienting even while 8 months pregnant!

Haha, I love your standard for what you’re craving and when you give into those cravings. I may need to develop that standard 😉

it is pretty nuts how concealing black can be on a belly!

Well don’t worry, Travis got to attend a breastfeeding class with me at the hospital yesterday (on his birthday) and they did have the dads leave at the end and everyone whipped out their boobs to practice!! Enjoy your last few weeks, I’m stalking you to see when Bavery makes her appearance!
