Little Bavery is A…
yay! thanks for all your sweet comments on the videos from our families – we are so lucky this little one is already so loved! also, thank you to those who participated in the coin toss for guessing little bavery’s gender!
today is the day i promised a gender reveal so here is a photo of the inside of my body:
we are SO EXCITED to welcome a baby GIRL to our family!
“yas queen” is a reference to the absolutely hysterical show ‘broad city.’ only watch the show if you like crudeness, sass, genius writing, honesty and having to pause it so you and your husband can catch your breath from a potentially hazardous-lack-of-oxygen-laughing-fit.
i don’t love the whole ‘princess’ thing for little girls so i thought ‘yas queen’ was a better alternative.
while we of course want a healthy and happy child, we are SUPER thrilled that we are having a little girl (though in about 14 years that karma will find me hard).
the photo i shared is the best photo we got because this little girl would NOT be still during the ultrasound. the tech woman was even getting sort of frustrated because she fully flipped around 3 times while we watched her and had 40 different shots she needed to take of her! turns out the mom really shouldn’t eat (dark) chocolate 20 minutes before an ultrasound because baby will literally flip.
we saw her little face, she stuck her tongue out and she rested her head on her hand, which was too cute (yes, there were tears). because i know two people who were told via ultrasound that they would be having one gender and out popped the other, i am believing this ultrasound 78% that it really is a girl – just in case.
this has now become a well-played anthem in our household:
please be sure to listen to 3:15-3:25 as this is my personal new anthem! i am halfway through my pregnancy today (WHAT) so it’s a perfect reminder that we are capable women.
here is my goal:
i am going to hold out on sharing the name here until she is born because i feel as though i have to lock eyes with her to make sure her soul lines up with the name we have picked out. we are 99% confident it is and also 100% confident it will not be appearing on any ‘top 10 baby names’ list!
we are beyond excited to welcome bavery girl to the family!
