To Gain Inspiration from Others – Blogger Love
it’s friday and i have to brag on portland for a hot minute because look at this gorgeous sight that occurred this morning.
reminder that i’m giving away a copy of the powerful book “the four agreements” so be sure to get your name in the hat (this particular hat is virtual) and change your mindset.
there have been some fantastic pieces written in blog world lately so i’d like to share a few of my favorites from the past few weeks:
kayla (kayla hollatz) “why you should share your competitor’s content“
i appreciated kayla’s insight into why we should continue to support and lift up our ‘competitors’ and how that doesn’t actually detract from our own following/business. smart lady (and she has a a book of poems due out soon i am incredibly excited about!)
emily (ember grey) “the gap”
my mouth literally dropped open when i read the quote emily’s husband shared with her about being a creative and the ‘the gap’ that exists. it’s a quote from ira glass about continuing to produce our art (in whatever form) even though we know there’s a gap between where we want to be and where we are. inspiring reminder!
amanda (amanda moments) “when plans change”
i enjoyed reading about amanda’s process of changing some of her big plans to get into a house this year. instead, she’s paying off her debt and shares how this has been happening, even though change can be hard. also check out her new blog redesign!
emma (emma lincoln): “money isn’t your problem, fear is your problem.“
such an honest view into how emma dealt with her boyfriend’s money spending habits compared to hers. she has great insight into dealing with money. turns out love and money really do need to go together, whether you like it or not. she’s also hilariously real.
meagan (all the joys blog): “when the timing is right”
this post totally took me by surprise! while i’m not a mother, reading about the intense “mom guilt” about taking time without her children to be with just her husband was incredibly insightful for me. i love that she is putting her marriage first because then everyone benefits. her destination for vacation isn’t half bad either. i’m also linking up with her for blogger love!
i hope that your weekend is filled with happiness, love and good food!

OH SNAP – that $$$ one though. Just cut me to my core alright?!
Sad that there was a shaming herpes reference in When Plans Change post though, both from a social justice perspective and an educational one.
I also really enjoy using snip.ly for sharing other’s content (particularly place likes Elite Daily). It lets you put a call to action in a post.
And thus you’ve received your first stream-of-consciousness comment. Hope you enjoyed it. 😉
