Questions to Ask on Your Anniversary

By  |  14 Comments

as promised, these are the questions that my husband and i recently started asking each other each year. i think it’s vitally important to be examining your relationship and marriage, so what better time to do a check-in than during your anniversary week!

these questions to ask on your anniversary are a combination of thought-provoking and light-hearted because let’s face it, that’s life, bucko.

here is the PDF for your printing needs: Questions to Ask on Your Anniversary. feel free to pin the image if you want to keep it for when your anniversary happens!

not on the list but something we talked about was our procreation status (!) so that was interesting. ‘interesting’ is my favorite ambiguous word to use.

we are headed off to colorado tomorrow for my 10 year high school reunion! it’s going to be a quick trip but always good to be home. also fun that we get to be in the same state we got married in on our actual anniversary!

we got married in estes park, colorado, which is a little under two hours from denver so no time this go around but perhaps in the future. i planned most of our wedding because ravery was on the road for a good chunk of planning time. he basically requested one thing: to get married with mountains and water in the background. mountains are easy since it’s colorado but water!? thankfully with the help of my mama we found the perfect spot!

yes, i totally kicked off my polka dotted heels the moment after the ceremony and wore my chacos the rest of the night. one of the best decision i made that day (the first was marrying my husband of course).

part of me wants to get all wedding-y since it’s our anniversary week but i also don’t want to bore you because ya know..everyone thinks their wedding was the best. let me know if you want details of certain things then i’ll whip something up you (said like paula deen would say when talking about something buttery).

for now i shall leave you with this hilarious picture of me saying a perverse joke and my newly crowned husband’s reaction. we started off strong! also, can we talk about how awkwardly long my arms are? they come in great for reaching things but when splayed out like this, what is even going on?!

My question would be: “What did I do for you that made you feel the most loved? ”
    and

“What new thing would you like to try sexually this year?”

Great post. I don’t pin, but I am happy to share.

These are awesome questions, Chelsea. Maybe I’ll trap Kyle and ask a few of these next time we have dinner! (Out anniversary was in April so that’s a long time to wait!) I especially like that last question! Haha!

    A) Absolutely love these questions! These are great. I’m definitely going to have to tuck this away for the future (hopefully only two years into the future!)

    B) Mountains + Water + Chacos really should be the only way to do a wedding.

Please post about your wedding all the time because I don’t care if anyone thinks their wedding is *the best* because it is, to them and it is fun for us bloggers-preparing for a wedding in the hopefully near future to read!

I love how intentional you guys are in your relationship. I definitely want to make sure to stay intentional even more so after I’m married!
