Making the Most of 2018!

By  |  8 Comments

2018 is here and it’s happening…right now! some people really get into setting new year’s resolutions, intentions or goals. i never really understood why, until i learned how to set a goal and then actually started accomplishing them! weird how that works.

the more and more i talk with people from all different industries and backgrounds, the clearer it gets that most of us really aren’t taught how to set a goal. i vote that we spend more time in schools learning about goal setting, communication and life skills and less time on geometry.

i started outlining this post and then realized that the fun thing about this here blog is that it has archives. those archives contain a ton of information all about goal setting, accomplishing big dreams, picking a word of the year and more inspiration to get you pumped up for the year ahead!

not to toot my own horn (but rather to wail on my own saxophone? not as catchy), but i spent (and spend) a lot of time putting out what i hope you find to be high quality and valuable content!

so check these out:

the #1 thing to do before setting any goal

goal setting for people who usually hate it

how to pick a word of the year

let’s also remember that our goals are different so the comparisons need to stop!

and in case you’re still like, wait, what day is it and i don’t feel closure on 2017…here is a helpful way to review your year!

and if you’re really just here to see what matching photos atlas and her cousin elizabeth debuted this holiday season, here you go:

atlas totally looks like olaf when he says, “…i don’t have a skull.”

and just in case you thought they only ever sat still and looked cute…

next week i shall be sharing my scary-but-necessary word of the year because…

i am in the midst of finalizing a VERY exciting and tangible product (yes, you can touch it) that will strengthen your marriage while exploring the world! stay tuned because even my nana said, “wow, this is really something, chelsea!” so there’s that!

hope you had a marvelous holiday season and let’s make our 2018 kick some asssss!

Goal setting is still scary to me, BUT just like all my other anxieties, I prefer to conquer them head on so that’s why I started my monthly goals. I love your blog because you make goal setting seem fun and not scary, even if it’s still totally scary to me!

P.S. Yes, I also came here for the matching Christmas outfits!

always great advice. i am going to ponder on a word for myself. i was not raised with goals and/or making new year resolutions. i also have an anxiety problem and perhaps depression although i think mostly fear and anxiety. this past year has been exciting, fun, happy but also scary for me. i hope you post this on fb so i can share it with some of my other friends. i am going to try to figure out how to print out all these blogs you have written. that way i can go back and read your advice again. otherwise i might not be able to find it again. i love the outfits for atlas and elizabeth. they really look so adorable and it is obvious that they are related. could pass for sisters. hugs and love aunt p.
