July Vlog Time : Travel Updates and More!
you know when you have those moments when you think “yup, that’s a grrrrrreeeeat idea” and tony the tiger would be proud? i had one of those when it came to recording a quick video blog after lunch today. it’s 3:40 minutes and this grrrrrreeeeat idea has taken now almost 2 hours from recording it to here, which was not what i had in mind.

- why i decided i needed to record one today
- where my husband and i will be traveling in 8 days (eeeek!)
- what i will be doing in these next 8 days (spoiler…HARRY POTTER…well…not doing him jeez)

as mentioned in the video…here’s some more details about “the map to dreaming BIG!”
also, i’m learning about this new thing called ‘periscope’ and by “new” i mean that i let a bunch of other people try it out, stalk them and then consider trying it out. it’s basically a live video stream from your phone and then it captures the video for 24 hours so you can watch it later if you can’t tune in live. it’s free in the app store on your phone so check it out!
it’s pretty nifty because you can see people doing awesome things like traveling, hot air ballooning, telling you inspiring things (and of course watching people do some super stupid things like driving or eating a sandwich or tokin’ up).
i’m contemplating trying this out on our travels so maybe we could be friends on there? i’m @TheNewWifestyle (shocking, i know) or my name…which is chelsea avery in case you forgot. i’m might do a little video stream with my husband this weekend so stay tuned. all these dang things to keep up with…but i’m pretty excited about the possibilities in this one!

I’m so incredibly jealous of your Harry Potter vacation. (I mean, I know you’re traveling for different reasons but is there really anything better than HP?!) I’ve going to have to unfollow all your social media accounts so my jealously doesn’t explode. (I’m kidding, of course.)

i know it’s SO weird out here! colorado (usually in a drought this time of year) is green and luscious while now portland is in a drought. i’m sure we will make up for it soon enough!
i think i’m going to do a ‘periscope’ thing live from inside parts of where harry potter things were happening (if they allow it or i can be sneaky enough)!

bahaha I love this vlog! Ooooh you should totally do periscope! I haven’t downloaded it yet but will totally do so and follow you if you do one 🙂 (also totally understand the 2 hour dilemma– why do videos take so long to do?!!)

That was FUN! Yeah, I don’t do much in the way of makeup or hair in the summer either. Today I had a TM meeting so I did and the only thing someone said was “I’ve never seen you wear a dress without heels Paula”. I also totally don’t do heels in the summer either.
Haven’t tried periscope because I just have a crappy little phone and my ipad doesn’t seem to want to accept more than 3 apps for some reason. We live behind this ridge so there’s never more than 1 bar on my phone and reception is less than 50% so I’ve been resistant to getting an iphone because it seems like it would be a huge waste of money and time/ BUT!!!!
I am a new HUGE fan of Unmistakable Creative and THEY use periscope so I am considering a useless phone so I can periscope with Srini Rao.
What a sucker I am!!!!!
